Just finished watching Inglourious Basterds. Here is what I took away from what happened once upon a time, in Nazi-occupied France:
1. Spelling mistakes are allowed, perhaps welcomed, in movie titles.
2. Lt. Aldo Raine could be a long lost relative.
3. Samuel L. Jackson is so cool, his out-of-left-field narration at times is not the least bit surprising.
4. Hans Landa: Are you mad? What have you done? I made a deal with your general for that man’s life!
Raine: Yeah, they made that deal. But they don’t give a f@&# about him. They need you.
Landa: You’ll be shot for this!
Raine: Nah, I don’t think so. More like chewed out. I’ve been chewed out before.
5. Do Germans like baseball? This film would prove why they don’t.
