Thanks to a suggestion from Mort the neighborhood — and next-door neighbor — mortician, Linda’s love for dinner theater finds a home at Bob’s Burgers. For three nights, “Dreamatorium” graces the patrons of Bob’s Burgers with its presence.
The results are what you’d expect: a shutdown opening night due to Mort’s over-exuberance with fake blood, an actual robbery to end the second show, and a lackluster final performance.
Before we get to the Burger of the Day, let’s get to the episode rundown:
Episode number: S01E05
Next-door neighbor: Synthesizers! Synthesizers! Synthesizers!
Vermin Vendor: Rat’s all Folks! Exterminators
Burger of the Day: Totally Radish Burger (Comes with radish)

Review
The Totally Radish Burger consists of a patty, a cucumber-radish-dill-crème fraîche slaw, and green leaf lettuce. You can sandwich it all in a regular bun, or a french roll. The cucumber-radish slaw didn’t take long to make — I used a food processor instead of microplaning it all. We used spring green mix as the lettuce.
Overall, this burger came out lacking in taste and substance. The slaw ended up tasting like garden vegetables, without any complexity — as someone who grew up in farm country, the slaw was reminiscent of the yearly smell of rotting cabbage. I preferred the burger on a regular bun, but Jill liked the french roll.
Our changes for the better (hopefully): just thinly slice cucumber and radish on top, and plop in a huge dollop of crème fraîche — this would give it more crunch and hopefully better flavor. Other than that, not much to see here — just an underwhelming burger.
